2018 sr5 tundra drive shaft greasing

    Does anyone know, did toyota stop putting grease fittings on the drive shafts on 2018 tundras? I went from a 2015 to a 2018 was going to grease up the drive shaft and didn't see any zerk fittings at all on my 2018 sr5 at all

    I don’t have any on the rear driveshaft, but the front driveshaft does.

    I don't have any on front or rear shaft - 2021. My 2008 had them on both.

    Somewhere in mid 2018 they made the change. Seems I've heard a bunch have a mixture but I think by 2019 they were all sealed driveshafts. This of course led to several threads of the people freaking out cause they could not grease there driveshafts leading to the planet exploding. Not to worry as at the risk of causing another s&%tstorm the sealed units are considered superior to the older unsealed joints (Search "Driveshaft Universal Joint: Greaseable Vs Sealed" and you'll get some information. Now also understand this is now becoming an industry standard and the Tundra never had an issue with there driveshafts but many trucks did.

    My 2019 says to lube the propeller shaft, what the heck is that?
