    RCI's customer service is actually pretty good from my experience. One of the sliders they sent me had a rattle inside, from a large chip they forgot to clean out, and they sent me a whole new one. Didn't even want the rattling one back.

    2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome
    My RCI trans skidplate arrived missing hardware, but I had st st bolts on my shelf to do the job. I have read enough posts about RCI having missing hardware to consider it not uncommon.
    Damaged merchandise isn’t acceptable either on a skidplate or a wedding ring.
    But trash talking them before they have a day or so to respond isn’t fair either.
    Just my $.02

    Let's see....obviously damaged shipping box by visual inspection. Plate scratched up and fasteners scattered and some missing......hmmm......
    This had everything to do with the shipping "carrier". We get so many UPS and occasionally FedEx goodies that arrive at work that are so fucked up beyond belief. Many of the contents are literally worth 10's of thousands of $$$$. We immediately tell the driver to wait so we can take pictures and file a damage report before we let them drive off. Sure an item can be poorly boxed up but RCI uses the same packaging for all their various products. Shit happens. Especially with freight carriers. Due diligence is required first before trashing a vendor here. I wonder if the OP submitted his pics and filed a claim with the folks that dropped it off???

    It looks like I'm in the minority here, but when I buy something new I expect it to be delivered in new condition and with all parts included. It would be different if the sale was discounted as an 'open box' or 'scratch and dent', but full price purchases deserve a complete brand new product. If it is acceptable to the users to get one already scratch up then why would the manufacturer go through the trouble of making it look nice in the first place?

    We all understand this and agree - we're giving op a hard time because they are acting like it's the first time someome has ever received the wrong part or something damaged during shipping. RCI will probably offer money back or a replacement but OP hopped on here to vent before waiting for them to respond, making them appear quite foolish.

    Parts like these are hard to ship economically in a way that protects from common shipper issues. I paid a LOT of money for freight shipping when I ordered sliders, but they showed up in perfect shape. I don’t know what OP paid for shipping on the skid plate, but I’m guessing it was the base option and probably included a disclaimer on damage to the finish due to shipping. UPS and FedEx don’t give a shit about the product or when you get it. It’s just another box that they have to annoyingly heave onto someone’s porch.
