    Hi everybody

I have a 2021 sr5 crewmax 2wd with 4,500 miles. When I take off when under load or going up hill, even a slight incline, the truck makes a clunking noise. I thought it was the calipers releasing but the noise is after I let off the brake pedal and take off. I took it to the dealer and they said the suspension was loose, and they tightened back up. It really didn't do anything and now it seems worse.
Has anyone else experienced or heard of this?
    Thank you

My 2021 SR5 Crewmax 4wd makes a clunk when I first start and roll about 50'. I'll get them to look at it at the first service.

Does it only make the noise on take off? Does it make it when stopping? What about switching from reverse to forward and vice versa

Happened to me. Turned out when I installed wheel locks I placed the socket in my console safe. Went for a drive and sounded and felt like a suspension component was falling apart at turns and stops. It was dark and scared the crap out of me. Couldn't find anything wrong, drive again, clunk, clunk, OMG! After about thirty minutes of trying and ten miles of being terrified I figured it out. Not a fun evening with a new vehicle!! Wrapped that socket in a face mask and the heebie jeebies were history!!!

It makes noise when I stop, and take off on an incline. It randomly makes noise going down the road with bumps. It doesn't make any noise shifting from D to reverse.

No, I was refering to trails end. It only does it ones per drive cycle at 6mph I believe. I had the same issue as him and couldn't figure it out.

Mine only does it on slow takeoff. It sounds like the left front. It has less than 4k miles. Surely it doesn't need grease.

If you’re talking about when you first start the car that’s the abs system check

How hard does that ABS system check hit? I can feel it in the gas pedal.

It’s a noticeable “bonk”. I sometimes say that when it happens.

If it does it at 6mph that is the self check. Does it 1 drive cycle, every time at 6mph.

    I've noticed this as well.

Maybe disable all nannies and see if behavior persists?

Do you have a trailer hitch in? Seems like a long shot for your issue, but I'll share anyway. I typically have Reese hitch I bought new in the receiver and one day I swapped with an old Tri ball I had in garage because I needed a different size ball. Some time after that I noticed when I would go over bumps i'd hear a clunk I couldn't identify, went through the typical checks and found nothing. Turned out the older hitch had more play to rock up and down in the receiver.

No it’s the ABS check. It’s totally normal I was just letting him know I hear and feel the same thing and what it is

I just picked my truck up from the dealer. it ended up being a broken transmission mount at 4500 miles. A little disappointed. No off roading or heavy use.

I took it in for its first service and the dealer said it's the drive shaft and has a new one on order. He said I'm fine to drive it and pull my camper to the Smokies next week. I'll be calling his ass to come get me if it breaks down going over the mountain.
