I have a 2021 Tundra Limited Crew Cab Nightshade coming next week and I want to lift it. I tow a heavy camper, about 8000lbs so keep that in mind. The truck has Sumo springs on it already. This is what I was thinking, feel free to give me other ideas. Bilstein 6112 on the front set on third setting 1.9 inches in height.Rear I'm thinking Bilstein 5160 shocks with a Toytec or Coachbuilder shackle. Not sure the size on the shackle since I would like about 1 inch of rack for towing. Another idea is a stage 2 or stage 3 Icon kit with rear expansion pack. I want to use factory wheels with 34 inch Toyo AT3 . Might buy Methods later, we will see. Thanks!

Dobinsons IMS or Falcon (tow/haul) would be my choice. If I can't get my Ironman system figured out (warrantied to my satisfaction) I'll be getting Dobinsons.

    IMS is just better.

    2.6 inch shock body
    Fully rebuildable and re-valvable
Zero shock fade in all terrains with full load
IFP – Internal Floating Piston, separates oil and nitrogen
    Corrosion resistant (EDP Surface Protection)
Heavy duty single piece lower leg
    Enormous oil capacity
Features clip adjustment levels for fine tuning of lift height
4 Clip height settings. Lowest height is stock/OE height. Each clip height adds approximately 1/2″ of lift. Use clip heights to fine tune lift height or offset for vehicle lean

I get all that. But several guys had issues getting too much lift with the ims. I'm not sure if anyone has figured out a solution yet. No one seems to have any problems with the standard yellows tho.

    You are correct.

I too would lean toward the standard vs IMS. Also check OME, OME and Dobinsons standard would be install it and forget it suspensions, heavy duty and would last a long time. Simple, non adjustable performance. I run OME suspension on my 4runner (and some past vehicles), had it on for 5/6 years and 70k miles, still rides great.

The main issue I had with my IMS was ride height and valving. The ride height issue was figured out after I bought them but not in my favor. And I couldn't find one shock tuner in CA that would touch those shocks. I reached out to over 10 reputable shops. Dobinsons was extremely helpful and offered to revalve them but the shipping to FL killed the cost for me.

Sorry if you already answered this, if you got rid of IMS, what did you move too? And, after you experience, would you consider Dobinsons Standards?

No worries. I went with the Eibach Stage 1 kit. It's been good so far. I would still consider Dobinsons standard or IMS if I was looking for those higher ride heights. Dobinsons is quality product but not the product I was expecting.
