The rated MPG of the hybrid will mostly likely be 25/25 so they can best the Powerboost F150 by 1 mpg. The big question is the mpg of the non-hybrid. I'm thinking same thing, they'll come in 1 mpg above the Ford Ecoboost so what's that, 19/24?

I heard there were supposed to be somewhere around 100 options available. Has anyone seen a list at all? I assume that will be available when they start taking consumer orders.

I thought that was accessories, not options.

If sticker is 19 then that's 17 real world which is 3-4mpg more than i'm getting now. Doesn't move the needle for me.

How heavy is your trailer, the Pro seems to have about 1450 lb payload and can tow 11K according to the TFL video

I'm not sure this negates the point his post was making. It's commonly accepted that lithium doesn't perform 'as well' in colder climates - even if Tim says it's 'just fine' in his unscientific opinion. So it stands to reason that it's possible the NiMH does better even if the performance isn't huge? Not trying to start an argument, I can just see where it's still possible even though one you tube dude says 'nah, it's all good.'

Toyota's generally get better than EPA ratings, current Tundra is a prime example. They're not like Ford's who gear everything exactly to the test but then it suffers in the real world. And even then the Powerboost is probably getting the closest to EPA ratings that any F150 has ever gotten.

So whatever the Tundra gets rated at you can take it at face value that unloaded you will get very close to that.

Yep. I could stick a box in the back of my truck and call it a camper. There is a YouTube channel that has 2 people living in a four wheel camper on a tundra, and they stated their truck weighs 9k.

Pretty sure it was these vanlife people.

Running 87 is cool - hopefully no "run 91 when towing" disclaimer. That would moot cost savings over the 5.7.

There are current Tundras hauling lance 650's, I would not see an issue with making it work with this one unless the bed material is a problem.

They run a flat bed. Cool layout.

Check out the grandby - slightly more creature comforts than a box.

This is on rv trader for $27500. $62500 if you want the truck with it.

    The sticker tells the tale

TRD PRO. Looks like the axle ratings are down a bit, and payload is what I would expect for that model.37501D65-4298-437C-BAA7-1CDFEEF3D0C6.jpg5ED34112-74C2-476C-A07E-CE1B7690FF1E_4_5005_c.jpg

I wonder under what circumstances can the outlet be powered?

Does the truck need to be running? In ACC with engine off? How about turn it on when truck is completely off?

Well, since your current truck should be good for 15+ years, that gives Toyota lots of time to keep developing their hybrid technology.

I don't know why, but it seems Toyota has always been against having anything powered while the truck is off, except for the garage door opener.

Where would you rather have the battery pack? In the bed so it cuts down that space? Under the truck so you can bash it on a rock?

so maybe the SR5 TRD grill insert with a color match surround could work. The TRD Pro grill won't work since I dont want amber markers nor the light bar.

I do like that it has the color match piece underneath the grill which if the rest was color match could break up that huge grill

does anyone have the photoshop skills to color match the surround and add the SR5 TRD grill?

that blue has my attention, looks good in the pic anyways.
