The post office is a little slow right now so it will be 9 or 10 days before you see it. It took them 4 or 5 days to even process tracking for mine.

Yeah I don’t know what is up with USPS, but mine routed through about 8 locations in the northeast before finally heading my way. Took a little over a week to get it, but that’s not bad at all. Adam got it shipped quick and that’s all that matters.

Realized I never posted a final photo of this product.

After lots of sanding, some different screw choices. I landed on this finished product which has some smooth black screw caps. Seems to blend well.

Started working on mine too. I need to order the switches. The first switch will be for the hood bulge light bar, the 2nd one is for the backlight, and the 3rd will be for the momentary switch for the train horns. The compressor switch will go in the last spot under the center console. Does anyone know which wire under the shifter area is for switch backlighting? All 3 will be CH 4x4 switches.

 

unless the shifter numbers are lit, I don’t believe there is an illumination circuit down there. It’s easy enough to grab from something up in the steering wheel area like the tow/haul button

 

Mine is lit....I just went out to make sure I wasn't crazy lol.

 

There’s a pin at the AC controls. The wires there are tiny, but I got it tapped with a red PosiTap.

Here's the Illumination circuit for 2018+ trucks (attached).
Looks like "Transmission control switch" is pin 4 (violet) on the J24 connector for illumination power.

 

The pink wire on the VSC Off switch is also illumination, at least on my 2018. I think that’s been moved to the cluster below the climate controls on newer models.

But most are relocating existing switches as well.

 

Hopefully gonna knock this out soon, so I’m starting to get everything I need. Switch plate and extension harness arrived. Just need the hardware. For those with the black head bolts, did y’all find them in black or did you paint them?

Next question…what did everyone use to cut out the card holder, Dremel tool? Do I cut out that entire piece?

Finally, I’m gonna paint it with some SEM trim paint. What grit sand paper are y’all using? Thanks for any help!

 

i cut mine out with a dremel tool. I cut out the section between the two raised bars.

I used four small phillips screws and then capped them with smooth flush caps.

 

I used black M3x20mm long socket head cap screws (a good hardware store will have them, or Home Depot might) with nylock nuts underneath.
I used an oscillating multitool to cut mine out, but dremel works too.
I wet sanded with 220 grit to knock down the printer lines, then 320 grit before the filler primer and again with 320 very lightly after the primer.

 

Here is mine painted with SIM trim paint and installed.

 

Am I cutting out that entire piece or do I need to leave some plastic to attach to? Appreciate the help.
