    does anyone know if they make a good camshaft for the tundra?

    The stock lobe profile is close to the best you'll be able to manage without the ECU giving you grief.

    To me, the next plateau is getting the engine to run up to 7000 rpm. The cam followers aren't captive beyond the valve spring pushing back on it. I'd invest in Beta C valve springs with a modest increase in force and edit the rev limit. This assumes the injectors can deliver enough fuel to drive that increase.

    They don't. VictorG has one on his supercharged truck that he helped develop, iirc it's like a $4000 upgrade since there's so many cams. I recall him saying for a N/A truck there's no real gain that can be made, and even for a boosted truck it doesn't help until over 6000rpm.

    My research indicates the exact same thing.

    They are out there but are monstrously expensive and have marginal impact.

    i really do want to, however my truck has 109k miles on it. isnt that too much to throw a supercharger on it? right now i got intake, exhaust, and a tuner. i was going to get headers next now that the cam idea is a no go

    Take it for what it’s worth, it’s a 6k truck. Been there done that on a 06 S/C Silverado SS. While it’s was fun to drive, it was a money pit. Always chasing those extra HP. A nice tune to make it respond better and call it a day. A S/C would be nice and I thought about it but at 7k, no thanks. Not to mention, like you said lack of performance parts makes the tundra a non performance truck.

    Fuck no, I installed my supercharger at 214k and would do it again in a heartbeat. I'd put a blower on at 300k, the tundra engine is very good.

    the TRD one is 5500, but I’m seeing other ones called magnuson costing 7-10k. Saying it’s putting out same results, curious which one you have?

    Put a SC on mine at 187 thousand miles, has a lot of performance!
    Needs me a auburn LSD now cause single tire burnout is not fuckin cool! LOL

    The TRD one is a rebranded Magnuson, they're identical besides cosmetics. If you can get a TRD one with all the stuff for 5500 that's a deal. The TRD arguably is worth more used since it's labeled as being from Toyota, but I wouldn't put much merit in that.
