Alright folks here’s my ongoing saga..
2021 crew with JBL. Replaced all speakers, installed amp\sub.
    1. When I removed factory sub I cut the connector off, should I have left it connected, I have almost no bass in any of my speakers including the sub. Would this be causing my lack of bass and what should I do now?
    2. My front door woofers are complete muddle, almost no sound. I know everything is in series, I have not cut a single wire or removed any connectors. There is absolutely nothing going to the tweeters now, factory plugged in or posi-tap new ones. My plan was to just tap into the woofer for the tweeters.
What in the world am I doing wrong? I’ve worked, very slowly, on audio before and never had these problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hang with me and don’t start multipal threads about this
    I’m trying to help you.
Do you have any type of dsr
Like the Rockford Fosgate Mastero dsr1?

With the JBL factory system you have some particulars to absolutely follow.
Don’t get too hung up on the sub white connector.

Request a Mod close one if your threads and answer and follow in one.
Between myself and a whole lot of smarter then I are here to help you achieve tunes to make you smile and a lot of us have them not by luck but following instructions.

    @Bentarm13
With the JBL system, you have to have a digital sound processor to create a complete full range signal to go to the aftermarket amp to them feed the speakers. Without a sound processor, you do not have a complete signal going to the aftermarket amp. The DSR1 is the most popular because on the lower price point compared to other dsp units compatible with the Toyota JBL entune, but last time I looked they were out of stock everywhere.
If you can find a headunit, that may be your best bet.

The JBL system has sucked in the tundra since 2014 or longer. I have over $2k in my system and kept the JBL head unit. I fully recommend replacing it

The kicker amp I have is powering the sub only. No speakers have been removed from the factory configuration. The only thing I removed was the factory subwoofer connector.
    My dash tweeters/center have sound.
My rear door woofers/tweeters have sound but zero bass
My front door woofers are muddled, no sound output to tweeters.
The sub has some bass from amp. The amp was wired to both rear door woofers for sound with crossover installed.

With the jbl system, you cannot tap off the rear door speakers for an aftermarket amp and sub. You will not get a full frequency range to support the lower frequency required for a sub. A basic line output converter will not work with the JBL system

With the jbl system there is really 2 options to install any aftermarket stereo pieces:
    1. Remove factory amp, install a DSP to create a complete frequency range signal to feed an aftermarket amp to power new speakers.
    2. Replace the head unit and run RCAs to aftermarket amps to feed new speakers.

In the JBL system, both the head unit and under seat factory amp power different speakers. I believe the dash speakers and rear tweeter are powered off the head unit and the other off the under seat amp. The JBL system is a pile of crap that we pay extra for, an SR5 with a basic system is much easier to add a sub and replace pieces.

Replace the crappy Entune HU with a decent aftermarket Kenwood or Pioneer..
Stop putting a bandaid on a fu(king flesh wound.

Good aftermarket HU, RCAs to the amp, run ALL speakers off the amp.
With the right setup; HU, iDatalink Maestro RR Interface Module, decent 5 channel amp, good front and rear door components and a sub, you can disconnect all 3 dash speakers and a have a great front soundstage..

The stock Entune HU is shit...

Alright. Withe the help of a ton of people from this forum I have figured out my problems. I have to have a DSR\DSP. Never had to use one before. That should get me headed in the right direction. Now I gotta find one, the chip shortage is apparently affecting these as well. I’ve been told the Rockford is the best, any other suggestions? Rockford with T harness will run @ $400.

I want to update everyone on my self-induced saga. Apparently having a guy trying to do 1999 audio on a 2021 is a bad (more colorful words? ) idea. I have returned everything to stock and all problems solved.
With the help of many of you, RdKing looking your way, I have all the supplies and guidance I need to do this properly. Starting tomorrow, should be a very simple job now.
I have 1 question for those who used the DSR1, did you tape off the remote in to the unit? It seems that it should not be needed as the factory wiring should take care of this. Just hook up the remote out to the amp.
I am going to take multiple pictures along the way and hope to start a mod sticky highlighting my initial faults and the proper installation.
Thank you all for your patience and help.

Update. It’s all in, everything works perfectly. RDKing is a magician. I did bite the bullet today and took it to a shop because I just couldn’t get sound. I had speaker 1-4 wired to 1-4 on the amp. Apparently that was completely wrong and caused all my problems. $75 well spent.
Overall I have $1120 into the system. New kicker 5 channel with volume control, 4 RF mids, 6 RF tweeters, 1 Kicker 3 way center (all from Crutchfield, wiring harnesses, adapters and speaker mount plates included), DSR1 and T03 harness, 1 amp kit, box of posi-taps for the fronts, tape and zip ties. I had the RF sub, built my own box with a leftover sheet of MDF. Now if you throw in my time wasted, that’s some serious cash..

Yes you will @TucsonTundra1794, 1794 trucks all have the crappy JBL Premium junk sound.
If you wish to retain the factory radio head unit and steering controls you will indeed need a dsr.

If any of you are thinking of doing this, try and find a DSR now. The computer chip shortage has affected them. RF and Crutchfield both stated they have no clue when they will see them again.

I don't need it brother but someone sure should. You have it listed in the for sale? Or Ebay it, there's none on there that aren't seriously marked up.

The chip shortage is no joke when looking for a head unit, but i think its probably not as bad when looking for a dsp.

Id recommend the Fosgate dsp for what you're looking to accomplish, assuming you go that route. It can be programmed to work with the tundra's oem system and has a great set of tuning features. The cost is pretry reasonable too.

If you can order it from "tech12volts" they can handle the programming so its ready to be installed when it geta to you.

Edit: I guess i should have kept reading the thread before i posted.... Anyways, glad to hear you got it all worked out.
