I got a walkthrough done on a truck I am interested in, are the issues with this frame anything to be concerned about? I come from a Tacoma so I know about frame issues. Do Tundras have this issue?

I'd like to hear others chime in but mine looks similar underneath. I had inspected at the Toyota dealer and by a local mechanic and both said it wasn't a concern.

I guess my concern is this is on a 2019 that was originally sold in Nova Scotia. But I have found a lot of use Tundras that are originally from Canada.

From what was shown it looks mint. Just treat it and protect when you get and post pics. If you’re still concerned, have them get some better footage of the underneath and post it here. Good luck.

Looks into a product called fluid film
Works as advertised, I’ve been very satisfied for years.

I never put that even on my Tacoma but I am climate controlled garage kept. Would you sand down the surface rust on the frame or just roll with it?

Pressure wash off mud and dirt, dry and spray away. I bought the whole kit, sprayer and 5 gallon pale of fluid film, I’m very impressed 4 years into it. I give everything a touch up annually.

Exchange rates baby! I know my old truck went south too, I keep getting notifications about how my services changed now I moved across the border.

Looks decent, but like others said, coat it and drive it.

    Nothing bad, in my opinion.

I sprayed mine while it was brand new, with Noxudol 1600UM on the frame and 700 in every frame hole and on all rust-prone bolts. 700 is a cavity wax, 1600 is bitumen-like. Along with rust-proofing it did an unexpected, but noticeable job cancelling road noise transfer via the frame.

Can you explain this more? It's at a dealer here in the US, so I assume this doesn't apply?

A lot of US dealers bought used cars from Canadian auction lots cause the prices were lower (the car shortage effect didn't hit us until lately), when I traded in my old truck back in November, I knew it got sold to the US (I live in Canada), because I receive email from Ram saying welcome me moving to US (I didn't).

How is the Noxudol holding up? There's a shop near me that uses this product for undercoating and I'm thinking of doing it. I couldn't find much info bout it online.

Holding very well. It's a Swedish stuff, along with Mercasol - best ones available on the market. Volvo is using it - not the consumer products, rather some other industrial grade, but from those guys.

1600 is thixotropic, means it's not hardening and heals itself when damaged. It also means the frame will be a bit sticky in summer :) I don't care, I can clean my tools while looking at the rust-free frame and smiling :) For sure Noxudol is not like Krown: you do it once and done, not going yearly for another doze.
