The wife owns a Hot Yoga studio and we are looking to get some towels made. We came across Alibaba with ordering direct from China (lets not get into the supporting China thing please)

Does anyone have experience ordering direct through them?

I have friends who order stuff from AliExpress (part of Alibaba) all the time. They say if you're willing to wait a little while for the stuff to come in, it's super super cheap.

I would bet 90% of the stuff for sale on Amazon is from Alibaba sales.

If you’re patient the Ali- experience is just fine!

My wife buys more stuff from Ali Express than I'd like. Super cheap and typically delivers really quickly too but you get what you pay for.

    Function before sparkle.
I buy all kinds of stuff on Ali Express and a few times from Alibaba. Sometimes it's decent, sometimes it's garbage. The general rules of you get what you pay for apply.

Like all of that style of company, the key is reading the details: measurements, weight, build materials, examining the pics closely, etc. It will be exactly what you order. Just make sure you know exactly what is being sold to you and not just what you think it is.

And unless you pay for fast shipping expect it to take a while arrive. Weeks to months.
