Howdy Folks, need your help again. So I built the sub box and put the sub in but the only issue I have is the sub is too thick and my seat won’t close without rubbing on the subwoofer now I don’t want to cause damage to it so I was wondering instead of getting subwoofer grills if there’s seat risers/spacers for the back seat just so I can raise it about an inch or two I’d really appreciate the help

I've seen riser blocks for the front seats to add rearward tilt, but nothing for the back seat... but I guess that doesn't mean they don't exist. Mine's a DC and I know it wouldn't work because the seat latch bars and wells are in the floor.

A grill might prevent lowering the seat all the way...

I don’t think rear seat risers are possible due to how the rear seats are mounted to the back wall.

Under mount the speaker if there is room for the magnet. You can modify the seat mounting as well. You can put spacers between the lower seat mounting tabs and cab to push the bottom of the seat forward a bit, this will lift the bottom as well. Urethane bushings should work well, think skateboard trucks. Try a half inch spacer, you might need longer bolts as well.

Pffft. Replace back seat with wall of 15" subs.

One of my friends in high school did that in his Buick Regal. 4x free air 15s on braced 3/4" MDF. It slaaaaaaaaammed.

2x 15" Kicker comps in the ext. cab of a 90 Ford Ranger with a power 1000 Fosgate amp. Cue the hearing loss. As for the OP's original question. I've had the seats out several times. The way they bolt in would take some refabbing of mounts to make this possible. Some small rubber feet like you would use for furniture could be placed on the underside of the seat to keep it off the sub. Would leave the seat at an even more uncomfortable angle.

I had this issue with the Q logic box. I just put a wooden brace across so that the seat would hit that before the driver with enough room so the driver can have max excursion. Works fine and people can sit there. Sorry no pics at the moment. Used a random piece of wood I had around.
