In need fellow tundra owners

We were able to see him yesterday only because the night nurse was kind enough to face time us on his phone. No one is allowed to physically go see him. He's not doing good. He's been there 10 days and been heavily sedated for the last 4. Hasn't eaten a thing since he went in and they finally got a feeding tube in and were suppose to start feeding him today. He's on the ventilator and his lung has inflated again but the machine is doing all of his breathing. He had a kidney transplant a couple years ago and that has complicated things. They have him on dialysis and are monitoring his BP. He's been through a lot in his life and he's hardly older then me. I've been with my wife almost 10 years so I haven't known him for very long but he's an amazing person who loves his wife and son. We're going day by day and hoping for the best.

 

@TucsonTundra1794 i understand, sighhh just keep your heads up! I’ve never felt so helpless in my life, it’s all we have is to stay positive!

Prayers to you and yours @Brettstation37 , @TucsonTundra1794 , and anyone else dealing with this. I swim with and deal with this dam disease on an almost daily basis and it has really altered all our lives. God willing we will get through this.

 

This has been a tough couple weeks for my brother and my family and close friends..on August 26th at around 9:30pm we lost my brother due to COVID and he will be greatly missed! I’ve been preaching to anyone and everyone of you have a sibling don’t take your time with them for granted! Hug them and Love them!!! I’m a complete mess over the loss of my little brother!

 

I'm sorry for your loss bud. It's difficult to lose someone especially that close to you. Your family is still in my prayers.

@TucsonTundra1794 how’s your brother in law doing?

 

We are currently going through the same partner. My brother in law passed away on August 21,2021. He had to many complications and they said if he were to recover that he would be hooked up to machines for the rest of his life. His mother and wife decided it was best to let him go. It's been very difficult but we're getting through it. We're planning a celebration of life party for him in the next few weeks so we can all hang out and reminisce about the good times.

terrible news, sorry bro..didn’t expect that! We are doing the same! No funeral, just a celebration for him with family and friends and a big bon fire cause that’s how we roll! Well, just know your not alone brother!

Dammit; I'm sorry man. And I know how you feel - I lost it when my Dad passed. I'm talking ugly crying, wife holding me up, etc., and I won't apologize - it shows the depth of your commitment and love to your family.

Sorry to hear that. Must be very tough. I've been trying to convince my brother to get vaccinated but he won't.
