Is there no individual control for the subwoofer with the "premium "JBL system? It just runs off the system bass?

It's been a while since I've had the stock system in mine, but I believe mine was that way, yes.

No. There is no dedicated sub out. The amp simply internally sums the front and rear channels to produce a “bass signal”

No, you just thought it would sound good and we're wrong.

    Nothing more money can't fix.

If you want a quick/cheap fix that will sound much better, JRT (Tech12Volts) offers a replacement sub and box at only $199 and it’s plug and play. I haven’t heard it but people have said it sounds decent considering it’s being pushed by that crappy stock amp. If you want something that sounds truly great you will have to ditch the stock system and upgrade literally everything.

    Stock, for now
The easiest way is with a LOC (LC2i or similar), a descent amp, a box and a sub. Thats if you want some bass. Now the sky is the limit from there.
