Is this a leak around the rear end? Or is this normal?

Normal-ish. It happens to a lot of our trucks but it’s nothing to worry about. Just keep an eye on it.

I am glad to hear that. I only have 35,000 miles on it so I wanted to make sure.

You are inside your warranty. I’d suggest taking it in to the dealer. They can inspect it and most importantly document it just in case it becomes a bigger issue down the road.

I think I will and also have the fuel pump recall done while I am in there as well. Any issues from the fuel pump recall? I ask because I had a Ram back in 2012 have a recall and they did it but it killed my mileage. LOL

Mine looked similar at about 30k; took it to dealer to have a look and get it documented. They cleaned it and I have no signs of seeping - at 60k now.

Goes in to Dr. Toyota to get the fuel pump recall and have the rear end looked at for precaution later this week. I hate others touching my truck but that's what warranty is for!

After dealer viewing it’s all ok. I had the fuel pump recall done and they wanted to do the rear diff and transfer case oil changes for $400. I guess I’ll be doing those myself. Synthetics?
