Wassup guys, on my 2007 Tundra Crewmax i have no heat. A/C blows real cold. When i switch it to the heat i stays in A/C mode. My heater lines are hot and coolant is level. There’s a position where it’s a bit hot but not normal temperature hot. Also my defroster doesn’t work when switching the knob. I do the digital climate unit. Could this be the climate unit?

Did you say you recently changed over to digital climate controls?

Is it changing where the air blows? There's several things that could be causing a problem. But you need to identify what is and what isn't working. The heat is controlled by a door that diverts the air through a heater core or around it. That could be broken. I think that the motor that controls that door can be seen from where the pedals are.

the air flow doesn’t really change when switching it. so i am thinking it could be an actuator door

If you stick your head down by the gas pedal you'll see some white plastic gears. There's two motors that drive them. One is much larger than the other and has funny slots cut in it. I think that one is the one that directs where the air goes. The other gear I think is for the heat. You should be able to watch them move when someone turns the dial (or pushes the button).

Hopefully this thread will help. https://www.tundras.com/threads/2nd...ng-and-blend-door-failure.34236/#post-2330763
