Decided to roll with the Toyota Extra Care Platinum Vehicle Service Agreement.

Since I drive less than 9k miles per year, decided to go with the 8-year 75,000 mile VSA for $735. Zero deductible. Seriously doubt I will own the truck that long so good with the 8 years.

While talking to the salesperson I found out that the Texas Dealers do not offer the Toyota VSA but use some 3rd party company. Don't like the sound of that!

They probably make more money off the 3rd party ones.

Last couple trucks I purchased. The F&I tried pushing a third party warranty rather than the manufacture warranty. Exactly what is said above. The F&I will get a commision/kick back with that third party. Never stray away from the manufacture genuine warranty.

I got a 7yr/100k when I bought my truck. It’ll last me until 2025. I’ll drive the crap out of the truck until then and probably look to trade it.

My understanding is you cannot buy the Toyota warranty from a dealer in TX..unless I misunderstood. I am sure someone will correct me if that is not correct.

The one I bought was from a dealer in MI.
