Sure seems like it would have been a good addition to the DC then, maybe there is an engineering reason as to why the don't have it.

My guess would be cost reduction, and keeping the Double Cab length as short as possible while still offering reasonable leg room.

Sure I bought a truck because I need a truck. My 2007 is still in good mechanical condition and will stick around even if I buy a new vehicle including a new truck.

So the question then becomes do I want a new truck for the sake of having a new truck for $55-$70K? Or do I spend that money on something much more rewarding to drive when I’m not doing “truck” stuff?

Most likely won't be a Pro model this year.....which is why they probably did the Lime Rush this year because that would have looked hideous on a big SUV or truck

Maybe that giant grill opens up so it can swallow hypermilers going slow in the left lane. Chit ‘em out the back.

Sad thing is that from a side profile it actually does look like a GMC. Except for the rear of the truck, that just looks awful.

So I showed my wife these photos, since she is more style conscious than me.

    Her thoughts:

1.) Interior looks great in the Limited, she likes the screen size and location. Control layout is spot on, reminds her of my mom’s new RX350 which my wife is extremely fond of (interior quality wise).

2.) She likes the side profile, and rear quarter view of the Limited model leaked in the photos.

3.) Not fond of the red color pictured on those Limited trucks.

4.) Front end doesn’t look right to her on the Limited. The grille is off putting, maybe due to the contrast with the dark gray and the red. She at first compared it to a cow’s nose then moved on to an unflattering comparison to a baboon.

5.) After seeing the TRD Pro front end she said it looks more cohesive, and just better over all.

6.) She is none too fond of the red leather interior of the TRD Pro in the press photos.

He received the feedback, and like all good executives ignored those suggestions and did whatever he wanted to do.

What I can't figure out is why the photo didn't show the engine. I mean the 2021 model shows the iforce V8 when it is the only engine choice and this truck shows nothing.

Maybe Toyota is going away from badging for engine choices.

Fine by me, less shit stuck on the side of the truck.

There's been several trucks that I thought were ugly in pictures but liked them in person. The new GM is one of them. Thought it was ugly when it was released, now I really like them.
