So the rats got in my truck and chewed through the hose that takes the washer fluid to the sprayers. The problem is behind the cowling and I'm wondering how to take that thing off so I can splice in some new hose. Do the wiper arms have to come off? Lots of clips and fasteners in the area. Just as soon not remove any I don't need to.

Yup, remove the cap on the wiper pivots and it's a 13mm...after that, it's easy with the rest if the cowl...goes back together easy too...you got this!

While you have it apart for the repair, I would highly recommend using some wire mesh over the holes in the cowl that allowed them to get in. Also check the cabin air filter, they love to nest in there. Good luck.

Wire mesh or gutter guard at Lowes or HD...or Ace for that matter...will cost you $6...I did this as well as remove the one-way check valve and replaced with a tee on my wipers...it kept freezing and not allowing me any fluid in winter months...only change to use is it takes about one second longer to get fluid on my wind screen than before...but it now works every time despite the temps...

Just bought a 2021 Tundra and I think a rodent ate most of the wiper fluid hoses. There is a hose that protrudes about 2 inches past the firewall and I don't see any other hoses underneath the windshield cowl. Is there a diagram as to where and how I should route new hoses?

Fwiw, I keep a few rags soaked with pine sol tucked away in a few places under the hood and also keep 3-4 bars of pink Dove soap scattered around in the engine bay. Screened the HVAC intake long ago as well. So far, so good.:fingerscrossed:

Hi, could you post pic of the screened HVAC vent, how do I get to it?
