What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Do not put alot of tension on those. They are aluminum and those bolts will snap.

Passed 20k miles this week.
Drove through a 20 mile long cloud of gnats in the dark.
Went on a 850 mile round trip to buy a sweet grill.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get these? I'd love to get some for mine. I'm not sure if you do, but I have the smart key so I think that makes things more difficult.

 

I don’t. I used color coded paint from automotive touch up. I sprayed adhesion promoter, sandable primer, base coat & 2k clear. It took half the day but well worth it.

You can buy door handle covers off Amazon & eBay for like $25. I almost did that but figured I’d try this route 1st. If these get junked up I’ll just buy the covers & paint them.

Also, is it just the Pros that come with the Tundra in the compass? Haven’t seen that before.

 

I doubt the Pro is the only one with the Tundra in the compass.
Sensor was working fine. I did notice the auto-high beam headlights having some trouble though.

 

Winch pack remotely installed. My friend fabricated the plate for me.

Next will be the winch and battery ON/OFF switch next to the solenoid pack.

 

My sound system setup:

(4) JL Audio 6.5" C2 Evolution Component Speakers (front and rear)


JL Audio RD400/4 amp. (400w x 4 channel - powers the door speakers)


10" KickerHideaway Powersub underneath driver seat

Not gonna blow you out of your seat but enough bass (home theater bass like) to enrich the sound.


Replaced both the front dash speakers driver and passenger side (fits perfect no modifications). These help bounce the highs off from the dash although they are only power by the head unit.

The JL tweeters helps from the side, but the Audiofrog brings out the sound from the front. I had to order the tweeter panel (sail panel) from the dealership. These come equipped on the truck if you have the JBL system. It looks proportion to the truck if you go with component speakers.



Door "Open" reflective sticker. A small safety feature, though it be a good idea to put it on.

Decided to add sound deadening to (Inner and Outter) part of the door. Shop did not send me any pictures but I did see it for myself. One layer goes inside the door panel, the other goes on outer. What a difference it makes. Door closes solid, and is slightly heavier.
-Noise reduction on road? Little.
-Difference with sound system? Slightly better.
-I like the fact that the doors feel more solid.
