I have a 2016 4x4 SR Work Package Tundra with tow package. it has the shitty steel wheels. Current EOM tires are 255/70R18

I would like to get Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT tires but they don't come in that size.

My question is will 265/70R18 tires fit the EOM steel wheels? Does 3 cm difference in width make a difference? ETA: scratch 3 cm, 10 mm is only 1 cm.

I am totally confused and appreciate the help.

    Too many, but not enough....
You should be fine with these. The alternate OEM size is 275/65/18 which is equivalent diameter to the 255/70. the slight difference with the 265/70 should not cause issues. I went from the 255/70 to the 275/65 with no issues and no speedometer recal.

you can fit 275/70-18 on a stock truck with stock wheels, no issues. That is a 33inch tire and most tires in that size are E load, what you have now is standard load. E load is a tougher tire and will ride a bit firmer. 265/70s will work fine as well.

I have no issues with the steelies though they might not look like you want them too they are just fine.

I put Wildpeaks on mine in the stock size and have been really happy with them too!

Thank you. I was just concerned with the width of the steel wheel, but it sounds like it will be fine.

Are the 18 in aluminum wheels the same width as the steel wheels?

I am sure it does not matter at all with the minor size difference you are thinking of.
I was offered a lot bugger than that when I bought the Falkens.

Thanks everybody. I have the tires ordered and am good to go thanks for all the help.

I don't know why that was so confusing to me, but it was.

I know those tires are an overkill, but I plan on putting in either a slide in camper or towing a camper trailer. Also getting an alignment since this Tundra with only 25,000 miles on it destroyed the rubber on the outside of both front tires. Not exactly happy with this vehicle. It ate through the first set of brakes in 13,000 miles and now the front end is way out of wack and i drive it like an old lady.
