When I was younger I was a Jeep guy, had everything from CJs to TJs, all customized for what I used them for.

One thing that used to be pretty common was using stock take off leaf springs to make a custom leaf pack for some added lift. People would use the shorter leafs almost as an add a leaf for handling weight, or use the longer leaf springs, cut down, to gain some lift but still keep the leaf pack nice and flexy for great articulation. It was a super cheap and actually very good performing option to get some extra height and you could dial in the firmness based on how you set it up.

I have never heard or seen anyone do this or even consider it for a Tundra. Forgotten art/mod or do people today just want premade, pay and bolt on and go options?

I just got the ICON 1.5 inch pack(51200) combined with coachbuilder +1 shackles and the ride is night and day. I live the feel. Granted it's just the first day.
