Is this normal?

Have three nagging issues with the truck. Nothing earth shattering but wondering if “this is normal.”

1- the traction control goes on at the slightest instance of wheel spin. Loose gravel, drop power. Nip the curb? Wet crosswalk? Puddle. Instantly drops throttle.

2- doors creak during closing and opening. Checked for loose hardware and everything is tight. Thinking maybe it’s the door check strap?

3- oil pressure hovers at just below mid point. New oil. Level is good. No real issues.

    So. Is this normal?

As far as oil pressure, your reading is same as mine, right below mid mark. May try spraying some silicone lubricant in and around door checks. No idea about traction control light.

Regarding the door, mine made a popping/creaking noise right from day one. I brought it to the dealer and the door check was broken and had to be replaced (under warranty). It often breaks inside the door panel so you can't see upon visible inspection. Hope this helps!

Yes. All are normal. Lube the hinges. All is well…

I had a 2014 Tundra and yes, the traction control comes on at the slightest hint of wheel spin. Very annoying, especially when making left hand turns across traffic in the wet. My 2020 does not have this issue at all. Although, my 2014 had a bit more "pep" in the peddle. It feels like Toyota played with the torque management.

Can confirm the oil pressure gauge hangs out a little below halfway on my 2020 unless I’m going heavy throttle up a hill or something

Agree on the oil pressure. I have owned several Tundras and all had pressure just under midway on gauge.
