I’m going to be pulling the trigger on my lift next week. Im going with the 6112 at #3 setting up front and am looking to see if anyone thinks the icons are worth a few bucks more for the rear.
I had the icons on my Tacoma and they seemed to be fine over stock, but not sure how they perform and last compared to the 5160. Any input is appreciated.

I like my 5160s. They work great for extended off roading trips and work well with the 6112s but watch out for the torque on the top nut. If not torqued high enough that pivot hinge point on your main shock body going to the reservoir can hit the top of the strut mount and it will leak. Many people have had this issue on the tundras from what I gather (myself included since I did the initial install) Nathan Muller on Youtube has OME on his and he had the same issue multiple times. I'm hearing of some resorting to grinding the mount for more clearance.. I've not tried the icons but Ive heard of some failing for other reasons.. Even saw them fail on Expedition Overland.. possibly on the tundra or LC..

Nothing is fail proof.. I hear good things about the Kings and for the money the 5160 6112 is a good combo. No adjustability besides the front preload settings but they've been solid for me doing easy to medium trails
