    Installed the BD S8 in the hood bulge. What a PITA to adjust.. Have any of you that installed it been able to have the reflectors centered between the top and bottom of the opening? @AZ Red Nek @Baja Mike @dlouly76 @smslavin @so_juanderful @azTony @DexterL @SpeshulED @Larmand @PLC721

    I had to remove the two end clips on the bulge completely because they would not clear the bar no matter what I did. I have a slight gap between the hood and the bulge on the passenger side. I'll try messing with it again tomorrow....any ideas For? For the SDHQ mounts, I used the factory hole for the forward bolts. I don't like the gap between the bottom of the bar and the edge of the bulge but I guess there is no way around it.

    I encountered the same fitment issue and also had to completely remove the two plastic clips on the bulge. Have you tried drilling the holes under the hood where the mounts go to push the bar back a little bit? Looks like 1/8” or 1/4” will do the trick to have it sit flush.

    BTW, careful driving above 75-80 mph with it like that. The plastic clips will come loose on the freeway and the bulge will feel like it’s going to fly away. Ask me how I know…

    I used the factory hole for the front and elongated it some to slide the bar back. It doesn't appear to be touching the bezel at all. The clips are all replaced with the nut plates. It still comes loose with those or was that an update to installation instructions at some point?

    First, never listen to that AZ Rednek guy. When I did mine after mounting the bar and putting on the bezel it was off from where I wanted it. I'm in the city so I removed the bezel drove to middle of nowhere and proceeded to adjust where I wanted the light to shine. Then made small adjustments until the bezel fit and everything looked good. I also used the nut plates when it felt tight it still moved, was able to tighten it more and then was fine.

    I had to buy a new hood bulge this week.
    One of the bolt mounts broke and I tried 6 times to glue/epoxy it back in place.
    It would hold a couple months then the entire bugle would pop out of place on the highway..

    My point;
    The new hood bulge doesn't look that much different on the passenger's side than this..
    Driver's side sits flush..

    Is some tabs blocking the clearance to bring the bulge flush? Make sure you can press it down flush first with no obstructions.. if you cant then either lower or angle the led a bit and trim more if so. If it can sit flush, then when you go to secure the side bolts you will need to press down from the top to ensure it's flush and tighten it down to hold its position. That's how i got mine to seat perfect.
