I've got a good friend and coworker who's into fabricating all kinds of crazy shit. A high voltage weapon is his ultimate goal. I will say he's not the typical engineer.

On a side note, I saw a bunch of cars at the college. I'm guessing they're allowing in person classes again. I may have to try and go back and finish. Bad thing is I'd have to restart math again.

on another note, glad yingling started shipping beer to texas. I took 2 cases of shiner to PA, but ran out early. And loved the YL. Wish i’d found some black & tan or the porter, but this’ll do just fine.

when my brake pedal ‘honked’ it was the MC. Check your wheel temps.

Should've bought the answer guide to go with it. Are people still using books today? Last time I bought a book, it was only so the professor could get his royalty payment. I think we went over 2 chapters and the rest of the class was handouts.

 

The brake pedal return spring didn't help the noise at all. I guess I'll live with it.

We used it in class. That book was absurd. $277.

 

The noise I'm hearing is up under the dash. The only other thing it could be is that plunger rod that pushes the booster. I don't see how you could hear the MC making a noise inside the truck. Also, my MC is new and it was making this noise before and after the MC replacement.

 

I actually hear a 'click' when i step on the pedal, but not until the moment it engages (pad to disc contact), and only when I'm moving. Then the squeak when i release, again, only when the wheels are spinning. mine's definitely not in the cab. Sounds like it's from the front right. The spring clip on the pads seems to be legit, and the pads have even wear. It's possible that its from engine compartment and just sounds like front right cuz of where I'm sitting. does that sound like it could be booster issue? @anyone

 

You might just need lube on your slide pins and where the pad rides on the pin

 

you may be right. when i was down there checkin it all out, I did notice the pins were very dry and chalky looking. I forgot to remember to address that. thank you

 

Holy Shit!!! That is most definitely absurd.

My books ran for $65-$75 each but that was back in the 90s. I think only the human anatomy books were over a $100.

 

Took the Tundra on a trip today. Passing a Ram, the back window made me laugh;

Guess it was a diesel. Funny.

 

A few of my lower division classes required $100 access codes to do homework and came with e-books that only lasted the semester. Felt like setting money on fire.

 

You don't even get to keep the e-book for reference? What kind of crappy learning deal is that? Might be okay for psych classes but not your core classes. I feel bad for anyone going to school today.

 

The e-book is pretty much a rental. Sometimes the access code classes would offer an expensive print option at extra cost which was an unbound loose leaf. Those suck because if you don't want to keep them for reference, they have no resale value without the access code. Looking at you Corporate Finance.

Met up with @Tundra2 and @TundraGirl2 and had dinner while they were in town dropping off his new truck for frame inspection. Hoping for the best on that. Nice to meet up with someone that actually wants to listen to you talk about an old tundra lol.

Anybody want to recommend some some bugget friendly 17s with decent specs? I don't mind keeping my wheel spacers bit if I could remove em when I go 34s or 35s that would be ideal. Probably going to order some 17s and skinny 34s. But I haven't decided on 34s or 35s and skinny or fat tires. Just need my 1" body lift to come in and time off of work to install it. The truck might look funny with a total of inches of lift on 33s lol. Plus I want to ditch my 16s so I can upgrade the front brakes

For me, a 8" wide wheel with -10 offset fits well IF you have the fender flares. FN makes one or two pairs with these specs, but I have FN Konig Countersteers type X
