Huh, saw a tundra in person with 295/70 on stock 18" and looks just right

    Been thinking these were just too darn big for a DD but darned if they don't look just right in the flesh. Was wanting 305/65 but now......I dunno.

    I have 275/70's on my truck now and it rides great, has plenty of pickup. I'm not too sure how much 295/70's would affect it.
    It may be just fine as long as you don't go with an MT tire.

    And the BOSS would be perfect. Heard the radflo's were even better than the BOSS.
    I'm perfectly happy with my BOSS setup though.

    It never crossed my mind that the 4.6 wouldn't have enough getup. I was hoping the ko2 would come out in that size if not then I'm not sure what tire to go with

    Toyo AT's come in that size and are a bit lighter than the KO2's.

    I'm willing to bet it should have plenty of get up and go with that size. A couple of guys have said it's fine on here, but one doesn't even use his as a DD and has 35's.

    Ride is good, but she's a little slow these days. A re-gear will be done if I keep this thing.

    But you're also rolling with some heavy ass MT's

    69 lbs vs toyo's at 64 lbs.
    my 275/70's are sitting at about 55 lbs

    Should be alright I think.

    5100s all around, 295-70-18 Defenders, BD reverse lights, de-badged, interior LEDs, footwell LEDs, reverse LEDs, ARE cap, front receiver hitch for cooler holder, cooler holder/rod rack, backup camera, Kenwood HU, Tyger nerf bars, Husky floor liners, folding rear seats, remote battery posts, plastidip grill chrome, Powder coat bumpers.
    I put 295-70-18 on stock steel rims. No noticeable drop in get up n go, 4.6. I did add 5100s on the top setting and 1.25" spacers. That was to prevent rubbing, I've only heard them rub twice, can't see any marks and can't reproduce. The tires are Michelin Defenders. Not aggressive tread, they're as close to "street" tires that I can find in LT tires of that size. I wanted that style since my off road driving is 95% sand and the Michelins have served me well on previous trucks, less aggressive tread is better float on sand. The 295 is also the widest that I could find that would fit on the stock 8" rim.

    I've added spacers since that pic was taken, but without them I don't see it being an issue. With the stock (Pro) suspension they fit perfect without any rubbing, I didn't need to remove the flaps or anything.
    Now that I've added spacers, I needed to do a little modding, and am thinking I'm going to add bushwhackers...
