So, took my truck to get it aligned and this little fuck up from another shop (the shop I took it to tonight tried to fix it) bent this preventing a correct alignment. Anybody know how to fix this? Also the level kit (Bilstein 5100) i had put on two years ago I discovered the drivers side sits about an inch lower than the passenger side. Is this a common issue? How do I fix that?

I think Total Chaos has some weld on cam guides. Hell, they could just weld on some steel to make it work just fine. This shouldn’t be rocket science for them.

Can you give more details on the Bilstein kit and how it was installed? Springs used, perch height, top spacers, etc. If you used the OEM springs, they may have been swapped from side to side and you’ll get more lean from that. If you used aftermarket springs, I think there is typically a half inch of lean. If you already have spacers, I would avoid throwing shims at this.

Thanks for everyone's help. I had Pungo Offroad do it in VA Beach. Used OEM springs. No spacers or shims.

I'm just going to buy this kit and have someone install it. Then no more fuckery...hopefully

Yeah, definitely those cam tabs are effed up. Possibly resulting in the issue. Check out @joonbug build thread!

Can you see the paint dots on the springs? That will let you verify the springs are on the correct sides and diagnose the lean issue, if it's not just due to the bad alignment and broken cam tabs.

Alignment is decent as of last night(when we found the issue) the tech got it to -.03 camber, 3.8 caster, and .13 toe

Good deal - so is the lean still there?

Yep, measured all 4 corners from middle of hubcap to bottom of fender

You got the Toyota lean. Fuel tank and battery are on the driver side so they all lean. It’s more noticeable on lifted applications. Shim on the driver side is the solution.

He needs to verify the springs are on the correct sides before throwing shims at it. 1" is a lot for the typical Tundra lean, and usually with OEM springs it's not an issue.

    Yellow/grey = passenger side
    Red/blue = drivers side

If I need shims, is there a rear one as well? 1/2 inch shim should be plenty

Toytec makes a half inch shim to go under the leaf pack, but if you fix the front, it should fix the rear too.

Alright, I dont think I should need an alignment either

Should I need bump stop extensions also?

Can you back up to the first step and verify the springs are on the right sides? Past that, yes, you'll need a minor bump stop extension, which is just a thick fender washer that should have come with the 5100s.

I agree. If stock coils were used, a lean issue would point to equipment failure. A shim would correct a lean but not the failure.

I have 5100's on the top setting with no lean. Stock springs were retained.

Sorry I was busy at work and couldn't verify. The springs ARE flipped. Blue/red sits on the passenger side right now

Well that'll do it! At least that's an easy fix. You'll probably want to do an alignment after swapping, so maybe wait until you have your alignment tab hardware in and get all 3 things done at once.

The truck shop (a different one) is going to look over the level and fix the issues including welding a new tab on or bead welding the current one

Update: I ended up taking it back to the original shop that did the level and they switched the springs for free and would ya guess what? It fixed the issue. Its only off by maybe 1/4" now, which is nothing, I dont even think they make 1/4" shims lol thank you all for your help.
