Yeah, they look kinda sad. He was thinking about that but wanted to sand them down with 1800 grit wet sand and see if he can polish them up a bit to remove the haze. We'll see.

It's critical he clearcoats after. Meguiar's makes a great headlight clearcoat, as does 3M. But whichever he chooses, he'll need to recoat at least once a year after sanding and polishing the 1st time.

Did he get the hail damage on the roof repaired?

The ChrisFix method works pretty good. Involves using multiple grit sand papers and a clear coat. It won't make the lights look perfect but they sure will look a lot better.
Many report poor light output with aftermarket headlights and OEM is pricey so if the factory ones will clean up it'll save quite a bit of money.

Nope, he spoke to the shop and they wanted $3600 to fix the dents and then paint. The stated they’d have to take the interior apart to try and bang out the dents… roof is pretty riddled given the hail storm. Given the cost he passed on the repair.

This might be a dumb question, but who is still making fenders and hoods for our trucks? Are we able to order new hoods and fenders or is it just body shops?

    https://lmgtfy.app/?q=2000+tundra+hood+and+fenders

Just busting your balls. :) Yes, they're readily available. Fenders can be had for less than $100 on Rock Auto. Hoods elsewhere.
