What's the other option for a front plate?

I'm just going to keep it under my seat. I haven't used a front plate for about 10 years and have never had an issue.

Don't come to my area. You'll get pulled over in a heartbeat if they catch you without a front license plate here. They don't even want it visible in windshield either.

There are so many high end cars these days that don't attach the front plate, corvette's as an example. It's a stupid law, especially since they don't even require a tag on the front anymore. My corvette and 911 are both exempt from having a front plate because they are 25+ years old.

Oh I agree. I mean other states don't require them. I don't see why we do. But I just know they are sticklers here and can be kinda dickheadish about it. Ya know, small town cops with power trip. Not all are bad, but many are.

I totally agree, it's a money maker for small towns. Just like speed traps. Just the fact that our State says it's OK for some cars to have one while others don't makes it a joke.

Nothing you can do Tim, especially if you live there. I'll take my chances for now, and if I make a trip across the mountains I'll figure out how to do something temporary.

I bet half of the Tesla’s around here don’t have a front plate. But it isn’t just limited to them. I’d love to remove mine, but don’t want to give a cop a reason to harass me.

Speaking of cops, took a drive thru Sodo on my way out of Seattle today. It wasn’t the real downtown, but the area I saw was definitely cleaner than the last time I was there. Well, other than all the tagging.

Passed one cop car and they definitely didn’t care that traffic was traveling 10mph our more over the limit. Heck, I followed a city bus that was approaching 40mph in a 25mph neighborhood zone.

Still waiting for USPS to deliver my oil sample to Blackstone…I like free shipping, but 11 days so far to reach the mid-west?!

    Patience… Patience…

Bought a voltage booster from Australia knowing it would take a month to get here. Paid for the “International tracking”, but it doesn’t seem to work.

    Patience…patience…

Very nice! We actually canceled our planned trip this weekend…just didn’t have the energy to gear up for it. But a beer and campfire sound good…

We are at Fort Stevens State Park near Astoria until Sunday. I’ll be taking the truck on the sand Saturday for the first time. Planning to air down and turn off the nannies so I don’t get stuck!

I used to take my F150 on the sand north of Cape Kiwanda all the time. Basically same tires as stock Tundra. Never had to air down. If you watch where you are driving the sand for the most part should be firm enough. Good luck!

    Did someone say drinking???

    Ok….you talked me into it.

Just got done scraping the last of the popcorn ceiling and tearing down the brick off the chimney to make way for the new mantel and the TV to get hung on the wall. Found out on Tuesday our remodel is starting a week early. Had a bunch of prep work to do today. Got it done. Now soccer tournament starting again tomorrow. Going to be a crazy 8-12 weeks.

I guess it will be like camping. We loose the kitchen and two bathrooms on Monday.

Hope you guys have a good weekend.

My experience, sadly, is that the visits my vehicles have made to the mechanic or dealer frequently resulted in damage. Either broken and missing parts, being charged for work not done, or just oily hand prints and scratched paint.
The phrase, “ less is more” definitely applies.
Do all your work yourself, if possible!

I guess this is a bit late and a bit little, but depending on when that popcorn texture was installed on your ceiling, it may have contained asbestos.

Yeah I know. I am right there on the border. I wore my mask today….and though it doesn’t help with that part…my safety glasses.

even wore both while taking the bricks out. Just cause.

It blows my mind that techs leave spilt oil and greasy hand prints in the engine bay! :censored:

I guess they are used to people not popping their hoods between oil changes, or ever.

I’ve had oily fingerprints on my interior, including the steering wheel.

I had a discussion with my local dealer tonight about their service. Already ranted about it on the “what makes you mad” thread, so won’t double post about it here.

    But this happened tonight

I would lose my shit if the interior got trashed, the engine bay is bad enough.

I need that beer. Shit broke at work and I'm still here, 13 hours and counting.
