Shopping for lug nuts. Read through very helpful info at Tundras.com, did as much research as I could, and I may have come to my conclusion; but folks here have been super helpful, so if you have an opinion, please let me know.

I need mag seat style 14mm X 1.5 Black lugs. Gorilla makes some short ones, but they're more than $100/set. I'm a buy-once-cry-once kind of guy, but if the paint's gonna rub off either way, if they're going to rust either way, and if there aren't any other quality benefits of Gorilla over the random ebay/amazon offerings, I'd just as soon pay >$50 add colorlugs caps, and be done.

Any experience-based opinions? Kill me with it, and thank you.

I was looking at the Gorilla lugs a while back and they were just so hit or miss with either being good quality and lasting, or issues in a short period. For that amount of money I didn't want to chance it. Some folks have had good luck with the Toyota black lugs but I'm still thinking it would be better to just get basic lugs and throw the ColorLugs over them. Colorlugs are cheap and don't affect the wheel, if you damage any its affordable to replace but you won't be scuffing them when you do a tire change.
