So...I was browsing a Ford Escape Forum today :anonymous: to diagnose an issue with my sister in laws ac which I now believe is related to a TSB impacting the 2013-2014 Escapes for the Evaporator Temperature Sensor.

Anyways, while on their forum it seemed that they had a dedicated Ford rep that would get involved and help escalate any issues or concerns with the vehicles and the dealerships. I haven't seen that we have any Toyota customer service reps on here dedicated to assisting with any of our issues. Maybe there is one and I've never seen a post about it or maybe we don't need one because our trucks never break down...either way, thought it would be a cool idea if we had a Toyota rep on here to assist members with any concerns.

Anyway we can make this happen?

We have a Toyota mechanic on here and a parts specialist but not a rep. It would be cool to have someone on the inside especially with any recalls that come up.

The forums are for all, so anyone, especially a Toyota rep is welcome to join!
As far as I know we haven’t been approached by them about this sort of thing :notsure:

Exactly what I was thinking too. With the amount of members we have on here it would be a great idea/addition to the site.

Yeah that's the Toyota mechanic I mentioned but he doesn't do rep work. Which would be facilitating the paperwork and proper channels to get us to who we need to fix what we need fixed. Right now we all just call a main number and wait for a person.

That would be a full time job in itself for Toyota. They’re welcomed, though. We do have a few mechanics here.
We don’t allow sales reps unless they are vendors as it’ll be plagued with sales crap.

Bingo. I know we can go to: Toyota.com/support but thought it would be cool to have someone interacting here and who knows, maybe they could even post up TSB's, Recalls, help with service escalations, etc.

There's a GM rep on GM Trucks (sometimes, anyway) but literally all he does is copy and paste a message that says "we're very concerned about this issue. Please let me know if you'd like me to help you talk to your dealership about it" or something like that on every thread where someone complains about a problem. It's so obvious that they don't care but want to seem like they do.

Not sure about now, but the F150 forum used to have a rep years ago. Seemed like he was hired by Ford to go on all the broken shit threads and to divert the attention and to make it appear Ford cares. Never seen any resolution come from it. It was a joke.

Yeah, you guys could be right. The posts I read basically asked for them to send a PM, so not really sure of any resolutions. Just more intrigued that they had someone there I guess.

A Toyota rep on here would spend 98% of his time getting harassed on the 2022 Tundra thread.

It seems like we have a pretty self-sufficient group when it comes to the TSB/recall/etc type of stuff, where someone else has either gotten information from a service manager or had the repair completed already. We just don’t have someone that can escalate issues, but that seems to be a pretty uncommon thing, minus douchebaggery at certain dealerships. I’m guessing Toyota has spies on here in some measure, but who knows. As long as they aren’t surveillance pigeons…

too much liability for Toyota imo. Unless it's from corporate they won't allow it.
I think they want to keep the same message going out to customers and that's it via their official IG/FB/twitter page

Maybe they had one on here before the creation of the cam tower seal leak thread.

We are enthusiasts, a Toyota rep that was not enthusiastic about Tundras would fail….hard.
