Mike, exactly what warren said. About 2.45 to 3-ish hours from San Jose

Ya surprisingly it did really well.. wasn't any hardcore whoops.. but it definitely wasn't hard packed sand or super flat.

The platinum tundra had an icon setup and rode in the pro and said it was smoother than his. His truck was acting up so he didn't wanna play too hard with the long trip back home.

The other tundra had the budget pro kit and he said mine ran a lot smoother as well in that section.

Overall it did fine, but now I know what I want and need.. Big humps and speed didn't do great. After beating on it all day in pismo they ride great on the road still.

Since I sold the taco last weekend I'm gonna look into a few upgrades.. no suspension right now as I am pretty happy with the pro setup.. and for the most part high speed stuff can be an option later. Definitely invest in more recovery and do more exploring with the family and with the folks on here!

    Another update!
After pismo I got the rtt setup. Wasn't so bad finding out what goes where. Haven't setup the annex yet, I'll get to that before my next adventure.

This past weekend we went for a little trip to Alabama Hills in Lone Pine. Really easy stuff! Baby girl loved it and weather was great until temperature dropped!

The mattress was surprisingly really comfortable and I was able to get a good nap in.

If anyone ever gets into bishop.. highly recommend making a stop to Mahogany smoked meats! Some good jerky! Can't wait to take these damn braces off to really enjoy some good ol' jerky..

I also changed the rtt plate mounts with some exhaust clamps. Added some rubber vacuum caps to put over the threads left over from the bolts. A little protection for my head when I'm crawling around in the bed.

Ready and packed for the Mojave trip!
@joonbug and a couple buddies came along with a rented Tacoma.
And luckily the @ragofabrication ditch+side shooters came in that morning. I was able to put em on before hitting the road

@BlueBottle lol ya just dove in. Took it slow so I wouldn't make a huge wake and submerge the air box. But it wasn't even close.

Hah! I should have my steel skids coming in from @RCIoffroad soon. I have the @sdhq_offroad abs guards as well, just been lazy to put em on. Should've put those on before my last 2 trips. Definitely next on the list is sliders!! Then start changing out the suspension. unless @pelfreybilt comes out with some armor soon...

It's also great seeing someone using their tundra for awesome scruff

Tell @joonbug he needs to catch up. He's lookin like he's gonna be using your gear as much as you if he doesn't get moving on some necessities :D

Thanks brotha! It's doing good. Definitely need to up the suspension. Still need my sliders so I can have a peace of mind when I'm on the dirt. @joonbug is too busy changing his avatars, that's why he is falling back on the gear.

Haha.. it did hit pretty hard.. I needed the lights all around. Grille Light bar can only give me so much.. Ditch lights helped out a ton on that end..now if I was fitted with @Baja Designs all around I would be Lighting shit up!!
So with a dust/chase I have them mounted on top of the bed cage..
    1) is this bad spot to place these. I have some adjustment to play with, and point em down more.
    2) I run both flood and spot up there, flood being more of a reverse/campsite light, and spot more of my chase/dust light.

Yes Mark! Joon has been busy. Changing Avatars daily is a big job for him. He's been trying to find the one that fits him best... I'm quite partial to his homeland representation (North Korea) with his current one.

Sliders are a great sense of safety while out there. Mine have taken way more hits than i ever suspected. I've just gotten in to wheeling and i never knew that i would take so many shots, but i'm VERY glad i've decided to go with sliders rather than any other form of step/bar down there

Yeah that's for sure.. I had the steps for the longest. Always took the easy lines. 1 time I bottomed out and got my step pushed into my door.. door is slightly mis aligned, but nothing crazy.

Thanks Bro!! It is the perfect adventure rig for my family. Also building for our needs as we go.

I was set on WKOR, but I wanted to stick to BAMF bc I seen em do work in person on tons of other rigs and I would love to just wait on Jerry. He just been so busy.. Another fabricator I go to is Milo - Milogen Fabrications here in the southbay. He did my Body mount chop with the relentless plate, and made my brackets for the bamf cage lights.

I have been so indecisive on my decision because of lead times and freight shipping charges. I would be so pumped if BAMF had some ready to go that I could just go pickup.

Jerry is a busy man.. and all good fabricating has tons of lead times.
WKOR has a good lead time. I have only read like 1 or 2 bad experiences with them about lead times.. I wouldn't rush quality either. These things are protecting our shit!
If you can't wait I would really suggest the WKOR I like how it really covers and gets more protection towards the rear.
All pro's are also another great option, but a bunch of threads talking about there lead times and how bad it's gotten... They are a very busy company as well so expect a longer lead time.
