Hmmmmm...... this would actually make sense, because I vividly remember putting pressure on and slightly bending mine

update, I got sick of the noise and decided to consult with a ny lemon law attorney. I assumed id get some $ thrown at me to fix the issue on my own. The attorney I spoke to agreed and told me the case wasn't strong but he'd see what Toyota would offer. He told me to expect an answer in 4-8 weeks. 10 days after the letter was sent, I was advised that Toyota had already agreed to a full buyback of the truck.

I have a 2018 I got brand new, about 6 months in started the same chirping noise. I heard it, kids heard it ..annoying sound. My brother would hear it when I drove off and call asking me what that horrible sound was I' like IDK!? Every. Single. Time I took it in for maintenance work those first 2 years I would mention the noise. Every time they were done I would ask did you check the noise? Oh, yeah...we didn't hear anything. I'd tell them to roll the back window down and drive it between buildings they had out there. Nope still didn't hear anything. I got a video of the noise and someone on Facebook group posted a service advisory about this issue. Well..my 36 month warranty is up as of this Thursday I took it back in today and told them to find what the damn problem was. They told me nothing is mentioned anywhere in the service history about a noise. I said BS..I can pin point every service advisor I've dealt with here mentioning that noise! Well .. they FINALLY heard the noise and found what the problem is.. 2 pins missing out of the back brakes. THey are keeping it over night for the parts to get delivered tomorrow. Down side this fix does warrant a loaner car.. but they won't let me drive the truck home and bring it back tomorrow because (I forgot what part they said) could shoot out and cause a lot more damage ($500 and up) that wouldn't be covered. Im like are you kidding me!? I've been driving the damn thing for 3 years now complaining about the noise and now you're gonna tell me i can't drive it, I'm gonna have to get a loaner y'all aren't going to cover!? Yep.. $96 for a damn Corolla for the day. UGH.
