    I just got mine installed.
I like the unit and capability, but I am pretty annoyed with the max volume when I am using BT phone connection. It sounds like it is coming from the center dash speaker rather than all speakers. While driving, with the TRD Pro exhaust I cannot hear anything. Any ideas?

Does it work with the OEM back up camera and steering wheel buttons?

How does this installing this affect the JBL stock amplifier and sub?

Is there a wiring harness compatible with the JBL JBL stock amplifier and sub?

Not sure if any of you tried yet but if you get the micro HDMI to HDMI adapter, you can use the Amazon Firestick with the HU along with the bypass.

No but they'll have a hell of a time trying to rip it out but even then im sure if they do it, the HU will be jacked up where it wouldn't even work so...

The Pioneer was great and I didn't have any complaints necessarily. The Kenwood just had two features that I couldn't ignore that I liked better. The physical volume knob and the physical camera button. I found myself never using my front camera because it was too much of a hassle get to and I found myself not really cranking the volume as often without the knob.

Hey Nags, did you sell your Pioneer?? I'm actually local, I just realized b/c I saw your radio station says 93.3FLZ.. the wifey listens to that station in the mornings. Anyway, if you still have the Pioneer, I'd be interested, lmk!!

It was from Crutchfield so I was able to send it back for a full refund.

It's amazing how much of a selling feature that knob is, you are like the 10th guy(myself included) that chose the Kenwood because of the knob.

I went with Pioneer solely due to the fact Kenwood didn't have auto-reconnect built in. Huge deal breaker.

Wish it had a knob, but auto-connect was a bigger priority.

When turning your vehicle on, the Kenwood/JVC HUs do not auto restart AA and where your music was playing. Might have been fixed in a recent firmware update, but ~4 months ago it was still a problem when I upgraded.

Pioneer does autostart AA and resume where you were.

They must have fixed that, because my 1057xr connects and starts playing where I left off.

I was able to snag one of these open boxed from Crutchfield this month .. i got the Idata link Maestro RR and the Toyota harness and the satellite adapter and usb adapter , i picked up the dash kit for it . am i forgetting anything wire wise ? I'll be running Focal ES KX3 3 way active in the front and 2 TW3 JL 10's in the JL Tundra box in the rear with a 1200 watt amp on it . i am looking at the Helix P Six DSP MK2 amp/dsp for the front . I am sound deading the doors and rear and some of the floor also . also doing sound rings and adapter plates .

If anyone on this thread is wondering or not, you can run a second anytime camera without needing a FRAC harness and also setup the steering wheel controls through the Maestro for easy access to the camera displays. Also if you do the hack for the brake by-pass, you can hook up i.e firestick w/ micro hdmi adapter to the HU and be able to watch movies and what not through your HU and also to another output screen if you have one connected. Just an FYI incase you all wanted to be able to do these things.

Has anyone installed the Pioneer DMH-WT8600 in a 2019 Tundra? I have spent 2 weeks working with Maestro and Crutchfield on getting the rear view camera to work and am about to throw in the towel. I have tried multiple harnesses, radios and maestros. I can actually get the camera to work as a secondary camera, but when plugged into the rear view RCA jack it doesn't show a picture. Funny if I play with the RCA jack (of which, I have had 3 different copies of the harness to make sure it wasnt the harness and even hardwired one myself), it shows a bit of a scrambled picture. It is madness. I saw one post where someone with a 2017 tundra said pioneer is not compatible with the Tundra stock camera. Any thoughts or ideas?

Pioneer radio and intermittent wiper switch and led lights. I also use AMZOIL Products only..
I just had one that I ordered from
Crutchfield came with all the goodies I ordered and put unit up to new dash bezel in truck and. For me it was very large. They look great in teslas etc but forcing that big hog in these trucks for my views they don’t look good.it felt like an I pad In hand.i just ordered the 4600nex and that one will give. Me 7inch screen and a factory dash look with every feature the monster has just about. Maistro connections all factory plug n play and. No cutting of any wires anywhere. I added the Xm radio to unit. Putting in pioneer speakers to replace the 5 in the truck. Small amp and running leads to back for a bass speaker if I want down the road. Great brand of car stereo..I also installed both front and rear cams to there plugs as well

So with the TO2 harness there is a connector with the yellow rca with a black wire and a blue/yellow wire that will need to be used for the connection for the rearview camera. You will also be able to have the rear on anytime or access it if you program one of your steering wheel controls when setting up through the Maestro Weblink. You can also do the front anytime camera if you hook a second one up and you wont need to get the FRAC harness that is normally used IOT be able to do this.

You didn't happen to take any pics of the wiring when you did that, did you? Curious about adding in the FRAC at the moment.

This head unit (and 7600NEX) has a second camera input. You simply connect your front camera RCA cable up to it. To power the camera I think I just tapped into the radio power wire or cig lighter.
When programming the maestro, I set the front camera to the left steering wheel center button. It works great. No need for FRAC. I know you were not asking me but just trying to help.

What is stated below is exactly how i did minus the power which i tapped to the battery because i have the second camera in the front.

Thanks for hitting this up! Saved me some time to explain exactly what you stated

Just installed my 8600 in my 2018 CM non JBL with center speaker. First impression.
    1. Sound quality is WAY better than the stock HU. I installed the Phoenix Gold package from Tech 12 volts with the stock HU and it sounded good, but with the 8600, it's so much better.
    2. When you install, take time to wire everything together and flash the RR. There are a tone of wires so trying to troubleshoot while it's in the dash is a pain.
    3. Both wireless AA and CarPlay work without any issue.

When I have a moment, I'd like to get the HDMI input working.
