    How’s it going! New to the forum longtime ram guy heading to the tundra side. Does anyone have any experience with dealers in so cal that gave them the best experience. Also when it came to pricing the dealer didn’t try to tack on another 4K in dealer add ons

    I drove to Toyota of Escondido from the high desert area and bought a Highlander, then a year later a Tundra. I would recommend them. The local dealerships were arrogant cocks, so like everything else I buy, I went out of the area. This was in 2017 though, so things may have changed.

    They ALL are going to try to sneak in add-ons, especially if you are financing. As for dealers that aren't complete shits in SoCal, I had a decent experience buying my mom's Traverse from Diamond Chevrolet. When all the dealers were being shits because they couldn't get stock during the pandemic, they were willing to trade with the few other dealers that would to get what we wanted. You might see if they have any Tundras. Just remember, whoever the dealer is, the answer to ALL addons is no. Everything a dealer offers to add can be had for cheaper somewhere else (including extended warrantees).

    I agree with the point about being diligent with the financing. Be mindful of the unnecessary add one for sure, just don’t lose focus when they finally bring the finance paperwork.
