What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

If your asking about the detailing I don't do any special. Just hand wash with a mit and Chem bros soap then meguairs clay bar and wax

I wash the wheels first with dish soap the scuff with a maroon 3m pad then self etching primer followed by paint and clear coat. All the paint I used was duplicolor wheel paint. I've done this before on several vehicles and it looks great and is very durable.

 

In my experience, I've always left painting to the professionals - and reputable professionals at that. It's just too much work and the margin for error is so thin, I've learned that it's better to hire someone than to try it myself, fail, and then hire someone anyway. Buy once cry once!

bring them where you toyota dealer brings their cars for corrections after crashes, they will do it just fine. I had to paint match some mirror caps before, it was maybe 5 years ago and for a sedan, but it was surprisingly cheap.

 

same I ordered the amber.

 

Got her a little dirty yesterday and earned a few battle scars on the trd skid plate. That's what it's there for

 

Drove it down to Kill Devil Hills on one tank. Sucks filling it up, but it sure is nice knowing I can wait to find cheap gas and not scrambling on empty.

 

Just seems to ride better when she's clean and looking good! Almost 9k on the clock now and still loving her as the day she came home!

 

I hear that. I filled up in Cleveland and made it to NJ/NY/PA borders to fill up. The gas in Pennsylvania was 35 to 40 cents more per gallon ....that's just crazy.

 

I should have stated, cheaper, not cheap. Md is pretty high also. As soon as you hit VA, it drops almost .20.

This is a strong POSITIVE... I never feel like I have to get a little fill up just to make it to some cheaper gas. I can usually ride things out until I find a station with reasonable prices... and not the inflated Chevron prices (at least out here in Bay Area).

 

Technically yesterday, but made some good progress on building a sleeping platform in preparation for hunting season.

 

been using it on my other car and it has been good so far for the past 15K.

 

Turned over 14k miles on my ‘21…

 

Minus fuel cost, so you got paid 20 cents an hour.

 

Painted the tow hooks finally (yesterday)

 

And a potential nail on the tire. I took mine to the dump a few times so I've been lucky but always scared that I might drive over something.

Installed the new led glow bar sequential turn signals Renegade Winjets yesterday.

 

Replaced my gas door spring!. The spring rusted and snapped. Makes the door blow open but not anymore! Got the spring on Amazon.

 

My son passed his driving test today. I told him he can use the Tundra.

 

I had a similar experience. I bought the Toyota Silver at AutoZone and thought it would be close enough and it was not a good match. I spent the money to buy from automotivetouchup.com to get a spray can and clear coat that match my paint code.

Results were much better, not pro quality, but I am good with them and it was much cheaper than paying a body shop.

 

Gonna start installing these bad boys after work!

 

Popped on an oem hood scoop.

Took about 2 hours on install minus paint time.

 

The towing numbers are off the charts with those battery powered Tundras.

 

Always wonder why people cover their license plates when they post. You drive all over with your plates exposed.
