If there is about the same amount of sheet metal on each side of the rear wheel, it's most likely a 6.5. If there is more in front of the wheel to the cab, an 8 footer and less is a 5.5 footer. So far this method has worked for me on all modern day pickups.

Why am I seeing two rear ends. Is it the camo missing with the shots.

Could be that one is a Pro and another isn't? Or, the bulky black padded camo is the older stuff, but the white wrap style is newer, and they are just using both instead of new camo for the latest iteration of test mules?

LOL...no. I can't ever think of a time where a vehicle manufacturer designed a new gen vehicle with the previous one in mind. You know how Toyota could make some good money? By having you trade in your current truck and sell you a brand new $60k+ truck. If you want the newest and best features you're gonna have to trade up to get them. If you could just retrofit a locker in then people would just hang on to their V8 Tundra's for a while longer and that would impact new truck sales in a negative way. So no, they wouldn't be making good money. If you really want a locker then get a Harrop or ARB one.

One thing I have noticed that is missing that I was hoping they would do in the redesign is some sort of integrated step to get into the bed of the truck when the tailgate is down. I'm getting up there in age and the extra few inches lower than the bumper is nice to have on my AT4 with the corner steps on the bumper as well as the multi-pro tailgate step. I know in the past you can get an attachment step for it, but I was hoping for something to come with it. I may just be missing it from the spy shots, or maybe they integrated something into the tailgate like ford with their step that slides our or GM with their multi-pro.

I thought in one of the early pictures it showed a fold down step. I would have to look to find it.

Interesting thing i read the other day. "The Toyota Way" Principle #8

    • Use only reliable, thoroughly tested technology that serves your people and processes.
Technology is pulled by manufacturing, not pushed to manufacturing.

Though this is applied to there manufacturing processes im sure it carries over in just about everything they do. I would assume this is why Toyota is so conservative and not constantly throwing new tech in vehicles for all those complaining about that lol

Used to be a flat 3% sales tax in SD on vehicles but now it’s 4%. No property taxes on vehicles though, and registration fees are cheap too.

I am originally from Missouri and got to pay sales tax at the rate of the county I lived in, and property taxes each year on vehicles on top of that.

    Considering a 2022.
Curious what the 6 bolt pattern & stud size will be on the new model? Come up with their own or go with a 6 X 135 / 6 X 139.7
Have a set of Fuel Sledge dual pattern I took off a traded for Tacoma Ford F150 with Toyo LT285/60R 20 that may look OK on a 2022...
Would great if i could use them rather than sell off:fingerscrossed:

What part? I'm in the Seattle area, it's far higher than that.

Everyone's talking about new Tundra features, reliability, colors, etc and I'm sweating over the damn sales tax!

Interesting. Wonder if this is 2WD..? A truck this length would look better with a higher 4WD stance.
