    I've learned that waving someone through a turn like that when there are lanes that they cannot see is downright stupid. I have known several people hurt very badly when they made that blind turn. A friend of mine almost lost his life by doing it earlier this year. He wasn't supposed to be able to walk or talk again due to the damage along his spine, but he made a miraculous recovery. I try to educate people NOT to do make those turns OR wave people through. If there is a lot of traffic, just wait. And living so close to I-10, there is ALWAYS a lot of traffic during tourist season.

    Sorry I didn't mention it earlier, but I'm glad nobody was hurt in your situation!
