    Remote start
I’m new to this and have looked for the answers but never could find a real answer, it’s like finding the needle in the haystack. I have 2007 Tundra with 195,000 miles on it, it had auto start installed before I got it and have not used auto start in last 5 years. My question is the same as everyone else, why won’t it start sometimes? I’ve read somewhere on here that it resets itself in 20 minutes or so, every time i do wait it starts. Or I can disconnect battery very briefly and it will start. So I can get it started. It’s hard to say what’s going on. I’m from Montana and leave the key in the ignition almost all of the time, I don’t know if that effects it or not. I cannot find my other keys, there’s probably 1 in my auto start box, otherwise I would try another key. The other day it wouldn’t start so I pulled the key out and turned it over and it started up. I should have stopped there and tested it for awhile that way. But I didn’t, my battery cables were not the cleanest so I scraped them clean, sprayed battery cleaner on cables and post and wire brushed them clean, then sprayed some red battery stuff on the connections. And then I decided I would pull the keys out of the ignition when I stopped and then put them in with the key in the way it started when I turned it over. It’s been starting all the time, my question is 1) can 1 side of key go bad? 2) does it effect it leaving key in the ignition? 3) was the corroded battery connection a problem? I will post back on here, with what I find the problem is, or was.
