Potential long term problems with lift

    I have a 21 SR5 CM that I have been debating on lifting/leveling around 2" in the front and leaving the back at stock height. I don't plan on taking it off road much since I have a 94 Landcruiser that takes us into the backcountry. I have read all about the Bilsteins 6112's, 5100, Eibach's, Toytecs, and Falcon's. My question is will I have problems down the road with premature ware on parts? Another worry is the CV axle angles causing the rubber to tear. All of the above mentioned lifts seem great but I am really liking the Eibach kits and keeping it leveled around a TRD PRO height. I figured if Toyota levels the PRO to 2" in the front I should be OK. Sorry for the long post and any input would be greatly appreciated

    At that height Not anything noticeable as long as everything is installed properly.

    My main concern are the cv axles. I have not seen much info on cv axles boots tearing on the site, Im just looking for some reassurance. I always kept my trucks at the stock height so just a bit nervous about lifting the new one.

    I didn’t see you mention tires. Bigger, heavier tires would create more wear and tear than changing geometry a little, esp if you are just going to the same height as a TRD Pro as you mentioned.

    I don't plan on going crazy, hoping to keep the stock wheels and tires probably 275-70-18 minimum. Really like the look of a stock pro with larger tires, mainly the Nitto's. I just have to zero in on the size that will work for me. There is a lot of great info and input from members on this site. Thank you again for the your help.

    I am leveled on Falcons and the CV angle is nothing to worry about.
    Add a differential drop and you’ll really have nothing to worry about.

    I think these trucks leveled with a Coachbuilder +1 shackle in the rear and a 275/70/18 or 275/60/20 is perfect for an all around truck that mainly sees the street but ventures to some mold off road trails as well.

    Any bigger lift or tire is wasting money and adding unnecessary weight to the truck. Unless you are really going balls out on the trails which 95% of people aren’t doing.
