So about two weeks ago my backup camera stopped working when I went in reverse and the next day I started getting a P0705 code. Googleing the code came up with a few different things but nothing solid. Before troubleshooting, I took the truck into a shop, and of course, since I have several mods they said ummmm no we can help.

So I had time today to work on it tracking the issue down. I started with an issue I knew I had which was one of the VLED lights (backup light) had dimmed. Pulled that and it did have a short, I'll be calling them Monday. I went ahead and pulled all the vLEDs out and still had the code and the BK 10amp fuse blew again.

I then went to the next easiest thing to pull out the Pedal commander. I also went there next because I had the commander off for a couple of months when I turned it back on and that was when the issue started. Viola code is gone and the fuse didn't blow. The pedal commander is only about 1 1/2 old not sure what went wrong with it but I'm glad that fixed the issue without having to pull more things. I was surprised how few places in Chattanooga do electrical diagnostics.

Hopefully VLED will stand behind the backup light and Ill be completely back in business.

Hope thats what it was, looks like P0705s are related to transmission range sensor. Otherwise may be an issue with the trans controller.

What setting did you have the PC on?

Its a stretch but perhaps it did not have either the zero point set correctly, the zero drifted or it was sending a constant signal. Either way, throttle input voltage shouldnt cause the vehicle to believe it was traveling at a speed that would cause an issue with trans range select. More likely related to a VSS in that case.

The camera could be related to the TRS as well. Hope its fixed for good though.

The PC was set to sports mode 2. I did try turning the unit off before removing the unit but the problem still happened. Fingers crossed it doesn't come back, drove the truck a couple hours Saturday and will drive more today.
