Hey everyone! New owner to a well used 2011 TRD Limited Off Road here in the USA. I bounce between the US, Iraq and Malaysia where I have a 2017 Hi-Lux and an ancient Prado.

So I'm curious, "What is included in the 2011 OF Off Road Package? Does it have different suspension, traction control etc. than the standard 4x4?
The previous owner mentioned something about the truck not having a suspension lift BUT having a 2" front end factory suspension lift to balance it? What does that mean? :)

Same springs, suspension basically, OR package adds skid plates, the OR tuned shocks. Specific wheels included in that package.

The only Tundras higher in front, factory lift, are the TRD Pro models, not the off road package

as as far as your truck, the previous owner probably just added a spacer lift to level the truck

Welcome aboard @rickypanecatyl . Take some pics of the vehicle and front suspension components so we can help ya out in terms of the leveling kit (referred to as a balancing kit by your friend). Off road package generally comes with the bilstein shocks and AT tires I believe....as well as some other things like all weather mats, running boards, etc. Congrats on the truck and I wanna see pics of hilux as well!(I'm sure others here wouldn't mind either)

That video reminds me of a question: @ 3' 40" in the video, what is that long, skinny compartment in the center console used for?

I don’t think they had the TRD Pro off road package for the 2011 tundra. I believe it was just a TRD off road package. The TRD pro off road package was introduced around 2016 I think. I might be wrong. I do believe fotnot is right about what it does come with though.

Differently tuned Bilstein shocks, a skid plate, decent looking 18” wheels (not 20”). Bed stickers. No running boards or all-season mats.

As suggested above, post pics of your suspension. It may be, this many years later, that the original suspension had been replaced.

Does the different tune make it more off-road oriented? I was checking out the spread sheet on this forum comparing different aftermarket suspension which showed those kits ranged in travel from about 15-17". For comparison's sake - do you guys know what the stock suspension travel length is?

The TRD shocks are more comfortable on and off-road, compared to non-TRD, based on my test drives before I purchased my 2017 new. I don’t know the length. Anyway, once you start caring about travel, it’s time to look at proper coilover shocks.

When you post pics of what you have installed now, we’ll be better able to suggest possible next steps.
