    Hello all,

I am helping my former boss sell his Gen I Tundra on BringaTrailer and the auction will go live in the next few weeks. I have some questions on non-standard stuff… so I came to you guys for some detailed info!

Ok, so his truck is a 2005 SR5 Access Cab 4x4 V8 in Phantom Grey Pearl. He had the dealer install a black leather interior because he did not want the cloth seats.

Was leather an option in 2005? If yes, was it only available on the Limited? What exterior colors was black leather available with?

    Thanks in advance!

    Tom

Thank you so much everyone this has been very helpful!

I had the good sense to photograph the receipt from the dealer for installing the seats - there was nothing shown about the seats at the PORT when I looked it up.

As requested, here is some Gen I porn for you guys. I suspect it will make some sort of waves - it has 20,200 original miles. It is seriously a brand new truck, it’s insane. It’s not as museum-quality as the white one from BaT as the bed has been used, but the color combo for me on this one is just home-run.

Well, that’s a 35k+ truck these days easily.

that leather was never offered factory (as stated and you know it’s dealer add on)

But damn that’s beautiful. I want to know who did the door cards!

I know, right? I need to redo mine, not only faded but factory used pleather-stamped vinyl it appears. Reason I know my door panels are factory-done and why I question the accuracy of Toyota's PORT/FACTORY data (note, my VIN pulls 'cloth CC') is because I've had my door panels off, and the door inserts still have the original factory-melted plastic rivets holding the insert in.

Anyway, @ OP, the truck is gorgeous, the right color, the right year, with all the right options. I'm sure you'll fetch at least $28-32k. I paid half that for mine a couple years ago, similarly optioned but power seats and maybe a couple other perks on mine, with ~65k miles and thought I was getting a fair shake then. At this point, I feel like I got a steal. I chuckle every time CarFax sends me a monthly update for my truck showing the value at $10k.

Your former boss is a smart guy and picked the perfect time to sell. I hope he gets top-dollar for it.

That's a beautiful truck. He's smart to put it on BAT. I assume it was garage kept this entire time? I'm starting to wonder how many <30K mile 1st gens are out there. More than I expected.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! Will let you know when it goes live on BaT

@FirstGenVol I believe it was rotated between the garage and outdoors under a cover depending on what toys were in the garage rotation. He would use it some seasons more than others and keep a vehicle cover and trickle charger on it during the longer unused periods.
