    I know they have a chip shortage and stuff, but just fascinating that this truck is more expensive than what I paid 12 years ago. In 2009 I paid $9,000 for an ‘04 just like this, but white and with 65,000 less miles. Wild.

    I feel like it’s not even too expensive…or am I missing something?

    Inflation is real. And the demand for used vehicles isn’t helping

    I bought my 2005 Tundra RCLB Work Truck 12 years ago as well. Gasoline prices were through the roof and no body wanted a V-8 anything ~ including me.
    The seller fielded lots of phone calls ~ every one of the prospective buyers tried offering him lots less money and no body even came to see the truck.
    The seller's neighbor said;
    "The first guy that comes to look at this truck is gonna buy it."
    That guy was me . . .
    Lots has changed since then. I'm still happy with my purchase and the owner was tickled in selling it to me ~ a deal made in heaven.

    I just grabbed my 2005 DC Tundra with 71k on it for 18,000. Way better than buying a new truck for 50-60k
