Depends on what are your goals for you truck. What do you want it to be able to do/be used for? How big of tires are you looking to fit? Etc...

If you get the 5" lift from tuff country make sure to ask if the drivers side spindle needs the ABS spacer. I bought new spindles that come with that lift and the milled a bunch of them down too far.
Hopefully others will chime in, I don't go off road much but I think there are others that have that lift that may do some light off-roading. May wanna search the suspension threads. Quite a bit of info over there.

For the cost of a drop bracket, personally I think that money would be better spent on a nice set of coilovers and UCAs. But to each their own.

If you go with Tuff Country be sure to get the version with new spindles. Don't get the version with an upper ball joint "extension". That extension thing is scary.

I have. I was just letting him know. I'm pretty sure I'm the reason they even made the spacer for the ABS sensor and know that it's milled too far down.

I agree, but I suppose it depends on how high he wants to go. I did what I had to do because as @Darkness said "that spindle spacer lift is scary".

Most people would recommend a nice set of coilovers before a drop bracket. Icon is a great brand, but it's not the only one. Shop around and you'll see you may find Fox or King, etc to be more affordable if you need high end coilovers.
If not, there's plenty of mid level coilover brands out there that are fine too. Toytec, OME, Bilstein, Eibach, Dobinsom etc.
There's your economy coilovers like pro comp, rough country, tough country, Monroe, etc.
Really depends on your budget and your plans for the way you will use your truck.

That kit doesnt seem too bad of a price considering I paid close to that for just the front 2 coilovers. They are for a taller lift but you get the rear also plus some other stuff. Again, depends on height. Also keep in mind future plans like heavy bumper etc. Because I do believe you'll nose dive with about any of the "kits". They seem to not come with they spring rate to support that sort of thing but I'm sure you could call and change the spring if you ordered directly through the manufacturer. Read some of them suspension threads when you get time. Lots of good info and search around for people's experience with similar set ups to what you're thinking about doing.
