Looking at my profile this morning, and see several likes for a comment I don’t remember making. Oh, it’s a two year old post from a thread whining about something insignificant, and it’s been revived. Still a stupid ass thing to complain about, an easy fix, and many of you are jive turkeys.

I have some little seat belt stubs @ToyoMafia sent me. I’ll sell them to you guys for 50 bucks a piece since it matters so much.

Highly doubt most of these hicks on here live on a ranch lol. Put on the seatbelt.

Dealer put the metal oil filter casing on mine during my first oil change. They didn't care

Don't live on a ranch but I hunt on one a lot. Also, I carry stuff in my passenger seat. Although the Tundra does not seem to be as sensitive to weight as my Tacomas were. I don't need an annoying chime to remind me to put on my seatbelt when on public roads.

More outrageous to create a post about this. Shocking.

You don't have to live on a ranch. There's no acreage requirement for this to make sense. Some of us do stuff with our trucks where we're in and out or driving around on private property a lot and it just doesn't always make sense to use the seat belt.

I use it 100% of the time when I'm on public roads. I don't need that nanny alarm beeping at me.

I just pulled my metal canister in favor of the plastic. Three times now I could not remove the end cap. It would spin the entire assembly. Canister always torqued to 18 ft lbs, cap to 9 ft lbs. not sure if it’s a metal to metal thing or what but it creates a decent mess.
I’ve never had the issue with plastic and I don’t believe cracking etc is an issue if you follow the torque guidelines and don’t put it on like a silver back ape.

Interesting. Anyone else with the metal cap have this issue?

I haven't and I’ve had the metal cap on since the first oil change. I probably over torque it too.

You guys kill me. I went the Carrista route to turn off the chime. Not for me and not for any two-legged passengers who ride in my truck. I did it for these two knuckleheads
