    PSA: EYES ON THE ROAD

Just lost my 04 DC 85k (with a brand new frame) to some asshole texting and driving. Smashed my bee-hind and bent the frame; TOTALED.

sorry to hear that, truly sucks.

But you look hurt, think you should talk to an attorney about your pain and suffering. They are at fault, so take it to em.

Sucks. Happened to my 07 but no frame damage. On the bright side, if there is one, your 04 couldn't be worth more now total payoff wise....

Hope all is ok but I’d seriously get checked for whip lash. Hoping this has a happy ending for you and the tundra.

06 DC already on the way. Guess it’s an opportunity for another build.

    No parts for sale.

Got $16.5 from insurance, bought the truck for $11.5 fourteen months ago lol. My $300 utility trailer softened the blow and I made $1500 on that claim haha! still sucks though

Damn. I’d buy the truck back and just order another frame! I’d doesn’t even look like the body suffered any damage. Glad y’all are alright. Distracted driving irritates the hell out of me.

Or he could just give you the contact info to track it down and you can add it to your rehabbed fleet.

I’m willing to bet that frame can be straightened. I’ve seen my father fix worse. Too bad it’ll have a salvage title now.

Salvage title only matters if you plan to trade or sell. If you know it's solid and repaired, and your plan is to drive it 'til the wheels fall off, title status doesn't matter.

Yeah but I hear getting rebuilt title insurance is a lot more expensive.

They (rebuilt titles) are harder and more expensive to insure, at least in Ga.
Sucks this happened; hopefully your new ride does you right. I am partial to Phantom grey dbl cabs though!

Damn, already gone? I was gonna say, I've been looking everywhere for either (A) a good white grille insert with chrome accents or (B) someone to cut off and ship me two chrome caps for my grille.

I would've been tempted to keep it and take to a frame shop. It's pretty damn incredible what a good frame shop can do, my friend's dad worked at one when I was in high school. Some of the 'totaled' vehicles that came in there rolled out so clean you wouldn't know anything happened, tolerances and lines tighter than when it left the factory.

But 16.5?! And you got to keep the wheels? And $1,500 for the trailer. Hell yeah! Basically just walked away with $20k eh.

Granted, I'd be pissed. I'll never find another sub-100k mile fully loaded Access Cab Limited with no accidents and meticulously maintained. Not only that, but ripping everything I've got into it would take me days. Sorry about your luck!!

Only the original owner can buy back. I’d have to find it at auction. That think will go for 8-10 easy.

Due to the age, in some states if bought back, you won’t get a branded title. Bought my brothers car back from insurance. Got to keep clean title and fixed it for 2k less than they gave us
