Anyone install one of these yet in the bulge area? I just installed it and used the template they provided and drilled two holes on each side. Dummy me I should of tried using the factory hole and mount it and then install and mark the second hole. In any case I am not happy with the fitment and i feel like the left and right side area where they ask you to cut the side clips sticks out a bit and its not flush. Im thinking its because the mount is a bit forward facing that the corner of the bars are hitting the front fascia causing it not to sit flush. However the hole I made is actually sits back farther then the oem hole so it actually has more clearance vs the factory hole. I may try to trim the hood tabs a bit more so I can aim the light angle lower maybe it will just clear the contact point of the fascia..

Anyone else run into their front bulge cover not sitting flush and what did you do to fix it?

I recently re-did my hood bulge setup. Had to get a new bulge because all the clips were breaking off.

Anyways you may need to remove the end clips like this. Just don’t remove them completely. There’s a little space underneath the clip where you can loop a long ziptie to secure it onto the end of the LED bar since you won’t have anything else to secure it.

My bad, wrong clips. These ones:
The other picture is where the clip broke off.

I found that I had to grind the tabs that SDHQ specifies removing down all the way for the bulge to sit flush.

Also, FYI, if the bulge doesn’t sit flush, the other tabs/clips might come loose during high highway speeds.

Ok I got it to sit flush. Trimmed the outer tabs a bit more and also when tightening the bolts on the outer edges to press down on the parts that are sticking up to ensure you get it nice and flat while tightening. One thing came to mind though - Since the LED does not sit flush with the bulge in the center you can actually see down into where the hood latch is. Would this be a security issue? Can someone pop your hood from that angle? Just wondering.
