Technically any liquid is drinkable if your brave enough.

My in-laws cat got giardia drinking from the dehumidifier.

 

Why are your in-laws storing fancy relish in the dehumidifier?

 

This thread seems to have derailed at this point anyway, but I will say some people do like to reroute this hose just because it's so easy to do. I've seen threads on here before about it but don't have a link. Just put a bigger hose over the one that's there and run it somewhere else. It's on my to do list.

 

Rumor has it @Tundra2 rerouted his to his beer helmet to stay hydrated

 

Just make sure the reroute is all down hill. This is a drain, not a vent.

@DarkMint I saw a guy talking about exactly this issue on GXOR FB page the other day, looks like he just attached a small diameter tube to direct water out and away from the frame to prevent some corrosion.
