Seat belts?

Anyone have a tip or trick to stop the seatbelts from banging around when the windows are down?? Besides the obvious... Lol

 

I've posted about this too. My passenger side one buzzes or slaps around even when its in the clip. Kind of erks me when its nice enough to have the windows open.

 

Ya drives me crazy to have to hear it slapping around in the wind!!!!!!!!

 

Ya, it hailed here so much that they plowed it.

I have something like those anchors in my truck, the flapping occurs to the portion of the belt not secured. I'll have to try to remember to get a picture of mine, it's different being a standard cab.

I already have one of those installed. The section of belt that buzzes is where it comes up from the retractor and goes to the anchor at its highest point.

 

adjust the passenger seat more forward and it will block it. i noticed mine did that i high speeds and just played with that

 

I'll give that a try if it ever stops snowing. I'm skeptical that it will work though, the windows on the Standard Cabs (~42.5") are a bit longer/wider than the windows of the other cabs, a Crew Max in the case of this specific measurement, (31") and there's a lot of window behind the seats, it makes it look like the occupants have the seats moved all the way forward even when they are all the way back. Good suggestion though, I never would've thought of it.

*Edited to include front door window measurements obtained from my Standard Cab and my neighbor's Double Cab, I don't know the measurement for the Crew Max. Measured from the rear of the sideview mirror sail to the bottom rearmost corner of the glass holding tape measure generally level to the ground.

When I had a single cab and it did that, I used to just buckle the belt. Plus it used to keep my water jug secure LOL

 

I use seat belt cover pad.

 

peal the back off of a maxi pad and stick it to the wall. get the EXTRA LARGE ones.

 

Glad to see I am not the only one this bugs. I hate when the rear ones are not in the clips with the Windows up. I have to stop all the time put them in clips and keep driving. Everyone thinks I am nuts.
